Special Source’IT: ultra fast charging 20A with Y-wire

The Special charger Source’IT 72V–84V adjustable from 3A to 20A is offered at €375, Y-charger and wiring provided, for a weight of 2,5 kg. The Anderson SB120 beam intercal between battery and controller and brings a dedicated branch to the charger. It allows a charging up to 20A on a compatible installation, with an estimate of about 3 h 45 for battery 75 Ah.

This special version requires the dedicated beam and the current validation accepted by the battery and its BMS, the electronic system that protects it. It does not connect to the original charging support used by the 5A, 10A and 15A versions. The mounting must retain the battery protections.

72V is the nominal voltage of the pack. A lithium-ion battery 20S reaches 84V at its final charge voltage.

How long does a full charge take?

For 75 Ah, count an estimate of about 15 h with 5A. A battery already partially charged usually takes less time.

Is the current adjustable?

No. This version provides a fixed current of 5A. 10A and 15A versions have a control wheel.

Does the charger have a fan?

Yes. Active Ventilation cooling promotes thermal dissipation during charging.

Can I keep this model as second charger?

Yes, to have a charger in another location or replace your motorcycle with the battery and the corresponding connector.
