TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO Adjustable Charger – 72V (84V) – 3A to 10A with OLED Display

The 72V – 3A to 10A adjustable charger for Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO is specially designed for the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO equipped with its original 72V / 74V 75Ah battery. It provides stable, secure, and perfectly adapted charging for this electric motorcycle's battery.

When charging overnight and you are not in a hurry, you can charge slowly at 3A or 5A. When you need to get your motorcycle back on the road faster, you can gradually increase the current up to 10A. Being able to adjust the charging intensity allows you to prioritize a gentler charge for daily use while maintaining the option for fast charging when necessary.

Thanks to its aluminum casing with active ventilation and high-quality electronics, this charger delivers a regulated end-of-charge voltage of 84V, adapted to the battery configuration intended for this model.

Its integrated OLED display shows key operating information in real time, including the charged capacity, battery voltage, and selected current. Adjustments are made simply using a rotary dial.

Charging times are provided as a guide and may vary depending on the initial discharge level, temperature, battery condition, and the final charging and BMS balancing phase.

⚠️ A charging voltage suited to your battery

For Arctic Leopard bikes equipped with a 74V battery, Source’it chargers limit the charge to 84V, which is 4.2V per cell: the standard full-charge voltage for a 20S lithium-ion battery using 4.2V cells. The original charger goes up to 86V, or 4.3V per cell. Our choice of a lower voltage aims to preserve battery longevity. The bike may display approximately 90%, without this necessarily corresponding to 10% less range: the relationship between voltage and stored energy is not linear, and the display depends on the gauge calibration. Charging at 84V therefore represents a compromise between range and battery preservation. If you would like an 86V charge, a charger can be adapted upon request, provided it is compatible with your battery.

Charger compatibility must be verified with the actual battery configuration, cell chemistry, and BMS settings.

💡 Why choose this Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO adjustable charger?

✔️ Adjustable current: from 3A up to 10A.
✔️ Adaptable charging: choose slow or fast charging according to your needs.
✔️ Battery preservation: possibility to prioritize a lower current when charging time is not a priority.
✔️ Voltage regulated at 84V: configuration specifically designed for the compatible battery.
✔️ OLED display: real-time monitoring of key charging information.
✔️ Adjustment dial: simple and precise current selection.
✔️ Original Arctic Leopard connector: no motorcycle modifications required.
✔️ Active cooling: fan and aluminum heat sink casing.

🖥️ OLED display and 3A to 10A adjustment

The charger features an OLED display to track key information during charging. The rotary dial makes it easy to adjust the current between 3A and 10A.

This allows you to prioritize a slow charge at 3A when the bike is plugged in all night, select an intermediate power level such as 5A, or use the maximum power of 10A when you want to reduce charging time.

🔌 Original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO connector

The charger comes directly equipped with the original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO connector.

No adapter, connector replacement, or wiring harness modification is necessary. The charger is delivered ready to plug into the motorcycle.

🔒 Safety and compatibility

Is this charger suitable for a 75Ah battery?
Yes. At its maximum power of 10A, the charging current is only about 0.13C for a 75Ah battery. The charger also allows you to reduce the current down to 3A when you want to perform a slower charge.

The charger includes several electronic protections:

  • Overvoltage protection
  • Overcurrent protection
  • Overcharge protection
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Overheating protection

Tip: after intensive use of your Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO, let the battery return to a normal temperature before starting the charge.

❓ FAQ – Adjustable 72V Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO Charger

Is this charger compatible with the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO?

Yes. This charger is specially designed for the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO equipped with its 72V / 74V 75Ah lithium-ion battery, compatible with an 84V charge voltage.

Why choose an adjustable charger from 3A to 10A?

The adjustable charger allows you to adapt the intensity according to your needs. You can prioritize a slow charge at 3A or 5A when you have enough time and increase the current up to 10A when you want to charge faster.

How long does it take to fully charge the 75Ah battery?

For a heavily discharged 75Ah battery, allow approximately 25 to 26 hours at 3A, 15 to 16 hours at 5A, and 7.5 to 8 hours at 10A. The actual time depends on the initial state of charge and the final phase managed by the BMS.

Why does this charger stop at 84V?

The charger is configured for a maximum voltage of 84V. For a 20S lithium-ion architecture using cells limited to 4.20V, 84V corresponds to the maximum voltage obtained by 20 × 4.20V. The voltage must always match the actual battery configuration and its BMS specifications.

Why might the bike display about 90% after an 84V charge?

The percentage depends on the gauge calibration. The relationship between voltage and stored energy is not linear: a 90% display does not necessarily mean 10% less range. Charging at 84V prioritizes a compromise between range and battery preservation.

Does the charger have the original Arctic Leopard connector?

Yes. The charger is directly equipped with the original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO connector to allow for direct connection to the motorcycle without an adapter.

Does the charger have an active cooling system?

Yes. The charger features active ventilation combined with an aluminum heat sink casing to maintain an appropriate operating temperature during charging.
