TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Horwin CR6 Charger – 72V (84V) – 15A Adjustable – External Charger with Conversion Extension Cable

The Source'IT 72V 15A adjustable charger for Horwin CR6 is specifically designed for the original 72V 55Ah battery of the Horwin CR6 electric motorcycle.

Since the Horwin CR6 is originally equipped with an on-board charger inside the motorcycle, installing an external charger requires removing this original charger. A specific conversion extension cable is provided with the charger to retain the motorcycle's original charging port and then use the new charger externally.

With a current up to 15A, this model provides a charging power equivalent to the original charger, while offering the option to reduce the intensity when you don't need full-power charging.

Its output voltage is precisely regulated at 84V, corresponding to the full charge voltage of the 72V (20S) lithium-ion battery of the Horwin CR6.

🔌 Switching from on-board to external charger

On the Horwin CR6, the original charger is installed directly inside the motorcycle. Our solution allows you to replace it with an external charger thanks to the specific extension cable provided.

The installation simply involves:

  1. Removing the original on-board charger from the Horwin CR6.
  2. Taking the extension cable provided with the new charger and connecting it directly to the battery.
  3. Passing the extension cable through the location previously occupied by the original charger.
  4. Connecting the extension cable to the motorcycle's original charging port.
  5. Once the connector is properly clipped, simply screw the charging port back onto the motorcycle.

Once installed, operation remains very simple: you connect the new external charger directly to the Horwin CR6's charging port.

The extension cable required for this conversion is included with the charger.

⏱️ Estimated charging times – 72V 55Ah Battery

Current adjustment allows you to adapt recharging to your needs:

  • 5A → approximately 11h
  • 10A → approximately 5h30 to 6h
  • 15A → approximately 4h

Charging times are indicative and may vary depending on the discharge level, battery temperature, and the final BMS balancing phase.

⚡ Adaptable charging power up to 15A

The main advantage of this charger is its ability to adapt the charging current to your usage. It is not necessary to always use maximum power.

For overnight recharging or when you have enough time, you can use a lower intensity. When you want to quickly regain your autonomy, you can gradually increase the current up to 15A.

At full power, the charger delivers a charging power equivalent to that of the original Horwin CR6 charger.

🔒 Safety and reliability

The charger is specifically configured for the Horwin CR6's 72V 55Ah lithium-ion battery. Its 84V output voltage allows for a complete recharge while respecting the battery pack's maximum voltage.

Active ventilation and the aluminum casing effectively dissipate heat produced during recharging, especially when used at 15A.

Tip: after intensive use of the motorcycle, allow the battery to cool down before starting a high-power recharge.
