Ninebot G3E MAX / G3D MAX charger – 48V (54.6V) 4A – Fast charging with active ventilation.
High-performance 54.6V – 4A charger for Ninebot Segway G3E MAX and G3D MAX electric scooters equipped with a 48V Li-ion (13S) battery . This fast and ventilated model halves the charging time compared to the standard charger, while ensuring controlled temperature of the battery and charger.
🔧 Technical specifications
- Output Voltage: 54.6V DC (full charge of a 13S pack at 4.2V per cell)
- Charging current: 4A (fast version – 2× faster than a standard charger)
- Connections: Ninebot G3E MAX / G3D MAX connector
- Cooling: active ventilation – heat-dissipating plastic housing
- LED indicator: red = charging / green = charging complete
- Built-in protections: overvoltage, overload, overheating, short circuit, reverse polarity
- Compatibility: Ninebot Segway G3E MAX and G3D MAX (48V – 13S Li-ion)
📌 Original 53.6V vs. 54.6V: Why it matters
The original chargers for the Ninebot G3E MAX and G3D MAX are limited to ≈ 53.6V to reduce stress during prolonged storage. However, this prevents the pack from being fully charged:
- At 53.6V , the battery is only charged to 95% of its usable capacity – so you lose some of your range.
- The BMS (Battery Management System) only fully balances the cells above 54.5V . Incomplete charging leads to internal imbalances and can eventually cause premature shutdowns .
- A 100% charge is only harmful if the battery is stored fully charged for several days. If you drive after charging, there is no risk.
The Source'IT 54.6V charger therefore allows you to reach the full capacity of your battery, to ensure complete rebalancing of the pack and to optimize the overall performance of your Ninebot G3E or G3D MAX.
Tip: Fully charge to 54.6V before each trip. For extended storage, keep the battery between 30% and 60% .
❓ FAQ – Ninebot G3E MAX / G3D MAX (48V – 54.6V 4A)
➡️ Is the 4A charger safe for my battery?
Yes. 48V Li-ion batteries (13S) can easily handle a 4A charge. The Source'IT charger is equipped with an electronic regulation system that limits heating and guarantees a stable current. It's an excellent compromise between speed and safety.
➡️ What is the difference between 2A and 4A?
The 2A model charges slowly (gentler for occasional use). The 4A model allows for charging approximately 2× faster : perfect for everyday use. Example: a 12.5 Ah battery charges in approximately 3 hours instead of 6 hours.
➡️ Can I use a 54.6V charger instead of the original 53.6V?
Yes, without any danger. 54.6V corresponds to the maximum voltage intended for 48V lithium batteries. It ensures a complete charge and optimal balancing of the BMS, unlike 53.6V which limits autonomy.
➡️ Should I unplug as soon as the LED turns green?
Not necessarily. Once the LED turns green, the charger goes into standby mode: the BMS continues balancing the cells. Leave the charger plugged in for an additional 30 to 60 minutes from time to time for perfect balancing.
➡️ Temperature and safety
Thanks to its active ventilation cooling , the Source'IT 4A charger maintains a low temperature throughout the entire charge, even at full power. This prevents overheating and extends the life of electronic components.
