❓ FAQ – Talaria 5500 72V Adjustable Charger

Is this charger compatible with the original Talaria 5500?

Yes, this charger is designed for the Talaria 5500 equipped with its original 72V 40Ah lithium-ion battery with a final charge voltage of 84V.

Why choose a 10A adjustable charger when the original charger is 15A?

The adjustable charger allows you to adapt the charging current to your needs. A gentler charge at 3A or 5A can help limit heating and further preserve the battery in the long run, while still allowing for fast charging at 10A when necessary.

How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

For a 72V 40Ah battery, count approximately 4h30 at 10A, approximately 8h at 5A, and approximately 13h at 3A. The 15A charger, on the other hand, recharges the battery in about 3 hours.

Does the charger have an active cooling system?

Yes. The charger has active ventilation combined with an aluminum heatsink casing to maintain a stable temperature during charging.
