Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO Adjustable Charger – 72V (84V) – 3A to 10A with OLED Screen

The 72V – 3A to 10A adjustable charger for Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO is specially designed for the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO equipped with its original 72V / 74V 75Ah battery. It provides stable, secure, and perfectly adapted charging for this electric motorcycle's battery.

When charging overnight and you're not in a hurry, you can comfortably charge at 3A or 5A. When you need to get your motorcycle back sooner, you can gradually increase the current up to 10A. The ability to adapt the charging intensity allows for prioritizing a gentler charge for daily use while retaining the option of fast charging when needed.

Thanks to its aluminum casing with active ventilation and quality electronics, this charger delivers a regulated end-of-charge voltage of 84V, suitable for the battery configuration intended for this model.

Its integrated OLED screen displays real-time operating information, including charged capacity, battery voltage, and selected current. Adjustment is simple thanks to a rotary knob.

Charging times are indicative and may vary depending on the initial discharge level, temperature, battery condition, and the final charging and BMS balancing phase.

⚠️ Charging Voltage Adapted to Your Battery

Some Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO may come with chargers whose end-of-charge voltage corresponds to a 21S configuration, i.e., up to 88.2V with conventional lithium-ion cells charged at 4.20V per group.

Our charger, however, is configured with an end-of-charge voltage of 84V. For a battery using a 20S architecture with lithium-ion cells limited to 4.20V, this corresponds to 4.20V × 20 = 84V.

A charging voltage higher than that intended by the actual cell configuration can, when applied repeatedly, lead to accelerated battery degradation, increased heating, and a reduction in its lifespan. Under unfavorable conditions, cell overvoltage can also pose a safety risk.

It is therefore essential that the charger's voltage matches the battery's actual configuration, cell chemistry, and BMS parameters. The commercial designation "72V" or "74V" alone is not enough to determine the correct maximum voltage of a pack.

💡 Why choose this adjustable Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO charger?

✔️ Adjustable current: from 3A up to 10A.
✔️ Adaptable charging: choose slow or fast charging according to your needs.
✔️ Battery preservation: possibility to prioritize a lower current when charging time is not a priority.
✔️ Regulated voltage at 84V: configuration specially designed for the compatible battery.
✔️ OLED screen: real-time monitoring of key charging information.
✔️ Adjustment knob: simple and precise current selection.
✔️ Original Arctic Leopard connector: no modification of the motorcycle required.
✔️ Active cooling: ventilation and aluminum heatsink casing.

🖥️ OLED Screen and 3A to 10A Adjustment

The charger features an OLED screen to monitor key information during charging. The rotary knob allows for easy current adjustment between 3A and 10A.

You can thus prioritize a slow charge at 3A when the motorcycle is plugged in overnight, select an intermediate power like 5A, or use the maximum power of 10A when you want to reduce charging time.

🔌 Original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO Connector

The charger is directly equipped with the original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO connector.

No adapter, connector replacement, or wiring harness modification is necessary. The charger is delivered ready to plug in to the motorcycle.

🔒 Safety and Compatibility

Is this charger suitable for a 75Ah battery?
Yes. At its maximum power of 10A, the charging current represents only about 0.13C for a 75Ah battery. The charger also allows you to reduce the current to 3A when you want to perform a slower charge.

The charger integrates several electronic protections:

  • Overvoltage protection
  • Overcurrent protection
  • Overcharge protection
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Overheating protection

Tip: After intensive use of your Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO, allow the battery to return to normal temperature before starting to charge.

❓ FAQ – Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO 72V Adjustable Charger

Is this charger compatible with the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO?

Yes. This charger is specially designed for the Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO equipped with its 72V / 74V 75Ah lithium-ion battery compatible with an 84V charging voltage.

Why choose an adjustable charger from 3A to 10A?

The adjustable charger allows you to adapt the intensity according to your needs. You can prioritize a slow charge at 3A or 5A when you have enough time, and increase the current up to 10A when you want to charge faster.

How long does it take to fully charge the 75Ah battery?

For a deeply discharged 75Ah battery, count approximately 25 to 26 hours at 3A, 15 to 16 hours at 5A, and 7.5 to 8 hours at 10A. The actual time depends notably on the initial state of charge and the final phase managed by the BMS.

Why does this charger stop at 84V?

The charger is configured for a maximum voltage of 84V. For a 20S lithium-ion architecture using cells limited to 4.20V, 84V corresponds to the maximum voltage obtained by 20 × 4.20V. The voltage must always correspond to the actual battery configuration and the specifications of its BMS.

Why can some Arctic Leopard chargers reach 88.2V?

A voltage of 88.2V corresponds to 21 cell groups charged at 4.20V. This voltage should only be used if the battery is indeed designed for this configuration and this maximum voltage. Excessive voltage compared to the actual cell specifications can accelerate their aging and increase the stress on the battery.

Does the charger have the original Arctic Leopard connector?

Yes. The charger is directly equipped with the original Arctic Leopard EX 800 PRO connector to allow a direct connection to the motorcycle without an adapter.

Does the charger have an active cooling system?

Yes. The charger has active ventilation associated with an aluminum heatsink casing to maintain an appropriate operating temperature during charging.
