Chargers for Ausom K20 and K20 Pro 48V electric scooters

This collection gathers Source’IT chargers for the Ausom K20 and K20 Pro: 2A standard, 4A fast, 5A ultra-fast. Whether you are looking for a replacement charger or a faster charge, compare the versions based on your scooter’s battery and the connector shown in the photos.

The chargers in this selection are compatible with the Ausom K20 and Laluz 2 in 48V 13.5 Ah, as well as the Ausom K20 Pro in 48V 18 Ah. Their 8 mm RCA connector is distinct from the red 3-pin connector used on other Ausom families.

Batteries and configurations involved

  • Ausom K20 / Laluz 2: 48V 13.5 Ah (648 Wh) lithium-ion battery.
  • Ausom K20 Pro: 48V 18 Ah (864 Wh) lithium-ion battery.

The batteries in this selection are 48V class, in a 13S lithium-ion architecture. Their maximum charging voltage is 54.6V. The capacity in Ah determines the time required for a full charge: a higher-capacity battery requires more time with the same charger.

Which charger should you choose for the Ausom K20 and K20 Pro?

  • 2A standard: suitable for standard charging, as a replacement charger, or as an extra unit for another location. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Ventilation.
  • 4A fast: a higher current than the 2A to regain range more quickly on a daily basis. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Ventilation.
  • 5A ultra-fast: the highest current version in this selection, to shorten charging time compared to the 2A and 4A. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Ventilation.

Estimated charging times by battery and power

Ausom K20 / Laluz 2 – 13.5 Ah

  • 2A standard: ≈ 6 h 45
  • 4A fast: ≈ 3 h 15
  • 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 2 h 30

Ausom K20 Pro – 18 Ah

  • 2A standard: ≈ 9 h
  • 4A fast: ≈ 4 h 30
  • 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 3 h 30

These durations are estimates for a 0 to 100% charge with a single charger, calculated by dividing the battery capacity in Ah by the charging current in A, then rounding down to the nearest quarter hour. The starting level, temperature, and battery condition will cause the actual time to vary.

Original connector and compatibility

The products in this collection use the original Ausom 8 mm RCA connector shown in their photos. The charging voltage and connector must together match your scooter. A 48V battery or a visually similar plug alone are not enough to confirm the wiring.

The K20, K20 Pro, and Laluz 2 plugs presented here use the 8 mm RCA connector. They are distinct from the Ausom chargers with a red 3-pin connector used for the L1, L2, DT2 Pro, SR1, and F1 Max families.

Active ventilation and charger casing

The chargers in this collection are equipped with active ventilation that promotes effective thermal dissipation during long charging sessions. The type of casing is detailed on each product page: this refers to the charger casing, distinct from the scooter's battery casing.

The 48V 2A, 4A, and 5A versions in this selection feature a plastic casing with Active Ventilation.

FAQ – Choosing an Ausom K20 and K20 Pro charger

Why a 54.6V charger for a 48V battery?

The 48V value refers to the nominal voltage class of the battery. The 54.6V value is its maximum charging voltage in a 13S lithium-ion architecture. The product pages specify both values to facilitate your choice.

Does a fast charger change the range?

The higher current shortens the charging time. It does not change the Ah capacity of the battery or its range when fully charged; the latter also depends on how the scooter is used.

Do all batteries in the range require the same amount of time?

No. The capacity and the chosen current determine the estimated duration. Find your model and its capacity in the charging time list, then consult the page for the desired power.

Can I use the charger as a second unit?

Yes, to keep one charger at home and another at a different location. Simultaneous charging with two chargers requires verifying the ports and the total current accepted by your configuration.

How do I check the plug before purchasing?

Compare your scooter's port to the original Ausom 8 mm RCA connector visible on the product pages. If in doubt, our support team can verify your model based on photos and battery information.
