Chargers for Ausom L1 and L1 Max 48V electric scooters

This collection gathers the Source’IT chargers for the Ausom L1 and L1 Max: 2A standard, 4A fast, 5A ultra-fast. Whether you are looking for a replacement charger or faster charging, compare the versions based on your scooter's battery and the connector shown in the photos.

The Ausom L1 and L1 Max share a 48V battery voltage, but their capacity differs: the L1 uses 15.6 Ah and the L1 Max 20.8 Ah. This difference affects the charging time, without changing the required output voltage of the charger.

Batteries and configurations concerned

  • Ausom L1: 48V 15.6 Ah (748.8 Wh) lithium-ion battery.
  • Ausom L1 Max: 48V 20.8 Ah (998.4 Wh) lithium-ion battery.

The Ausom L1 ABE versions exist with either a 15.6 or 20.8 Ah 48V battery. Choose the line corresponding to the capacity indicated on your battery.

The batteries in this selection are of the 48V class, in 13S lithium-ion architecture. Their maximum charge voltage is 54.6V. The capacity in Ah determines the time required for a full charge: a battery with a larger capacity requires more time with the same charger.

Which charger to choose for Ausom L1 and L1 Max?

  • 2A standard: suitable for standard charging, replacing a charger, or as an additional unit for another location. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.
  • 4A fast: higher current than the 2A to regain range more quickly on a daily basis. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.
  • 5A ultra-fast: the highest current version in this selection, to shorten charging time compared to the 2A and 4A. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.

Estimated charging times by battery and power

Ausom L1 – 15.6 Ah

  • 2A standard: ≈ 7h 45m
  • 4A fast: ≈ 3h 45m
  • 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 3h

Ausom L1 Max – 20.8 Ah

  • 2A standard: ≈ 10h 15m
  • 4A fast: ≈ 5h
  • 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 4h

These durations are estimates for a 0 to 100% charge with a single charger, calculated by dividing the battery capacity in Ah by the charging current in A, then rounding down to the nearest quarter hour. The starting level, temperature, and battery condition will cause the actual time to vary.

Original connector and compatibility

The products in this collection use the original Ausom 3-pin red connector shown in their photos. The charging voltage and the connector must both match your scooter. A 48V battery or a visually similar plug alone are not enough to confirm the wiring.

Choose your version based on its exact model and original battery. The Ausom families do not all share the same voltage or connector: the brand page allows you to find the suitable selection.

Active cooling and charger casing

The chargers in this collection are equipped with active cooling that promotes efficient heat dissipation during long charging sessions. The type of casing is detailed on each product page: this refers to the charger casing, which is distinct from the scooter's battery casing.

The 48V 2A, 4A, and 5A versions in this selection come in a plastic casing with Active Cooling.

FAQ – Choosing an Ausom L1 and L1 Max charger

Why a 54.6V charger for a 48V battery?

The 48V value designates the battery's nominal voltage class. The 54.6V value is its maximum charge voltage in 13S lithium-ion architecture. The product pages specify both values to facilitate your choice.

Does the fast charger change the range?

The higher current shortens the charging time. It does not change the battery's Ah capacity or its range at full charge; the latter also depends on how the scooter is used.

Do all batteries in the range require the same time?

No. The capacity and the chosen current determine the estimated duration. Find your model and its capacity in the charging time list, then check the page for the desired power.

Can the charger be used as a spare?

Yes, to keep one charger at home and another at another location. Simultaneous charging with two chargers requires verification of the ports and the total current accepted by your configuration.

How to check the plug before purchase?

Compare your scooter's port to the original Ausom 3-pin red connector visible on the product pages. If in doubt, our support team can verify your model based on photos and battery information.
