Chargers for Ausom L2 and L2 Max 48V electric scooters
This collection gathers Source’IT chargers for the Ausom L2 and L2 Max: 2A standard, 4A fast, and 5A ultra-fast. Whether you are looking for a replacement charger or faster charging, compare the versions based on your scooter’s battery and the connector shown in the photos.
The Ausom L2 family includes versions with varying range and battery capacity. The configurations presented here are the L2 48V 15.6 Ah and the L2 Max 48V 20.8 Ah, both charged to a final voltage of 54.6V.
Batteries and configurations involved
- Ausom L2: 48V 15.6 Ah (748.8 Wh) lithium-ion battery.
- Ausom L2 Max: 48V 20.8 Ah (998.4 Wh) lithium-ion battery.
For a Dual Motor version, the product page applies to the corresponding original 48V configuration equipped with the red connector shown in the photos.
The batteries in this selection are 48V class, in a 13S lithium-ion architecture. Their maximum charge voltage is 54.6V. The capacity in Ah determines the time required for a full charge: a higher-capacity battery requires more time with the same charger.
Which charger should you choose for Ausom L2 and L2 Max?
- 2A standard: suitable for standard charging, replacing a charger, or as an extra unit for another location. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.
- 4A fast: higher current than the 2A to recover range more quickly in daily use. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.
- 5A ultra-fast: the highest current version in this selection, to shorten charging time compared to the 2A and 4A versions. Plastic casing, 54.6V output, and Active Cooling.
- Ausom L2 and L2 Max 48V standard charger – 54.6V 2A
- Ausom L2 and L2 Max 48V fast charger – 54.6V 4A
- Ausom L2 and L2 Max 48V ultra-fast charger – 54.6V 5A
Estimated charging times by battery and power
Ausom L2 – 15.6 Ah
- 2A standard: ≈ 7h 45m
- 4A fast: ≈ 3h 45m
- 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 3h
Ausom L2 Max – 20.8 Ah
- 2A standard: ≈ 10h 15m
- 4A fast: ≈ 5h
- 5A ultra-fast: ≈ 4h
These durations are estimates for a 0 to 100% charge with a single charger, calculated by dividing the battery capacity in Ah by the charging current in A, then rounding down to the nearest quarter-hour. The starting level, temperature, and battery condition will affect the actual time.
Original connector and compatibility
The products in this collection use the original red 3-pin Ausom connector shown in their photos. The charging voltage and the connector must both match your scooter. A 48V battery or a visually similar plug are not enough on their own to confirm the wiring.
Choose your version based on its exact model and its original battery. Not all Ausom families share the same voltage or the same connector: the brand page helps you find the appropriate selection.
Active cooling and charger casing
The chargers in this collection are equipped with active cooling that promotes efficient heat dissipation during long charging sessions. The casing type is detailed on each product page: this refers to the charger’s housing, which is separate from the scooter’s battery casing.
The 48V 2A, 4A, and 5A versions in this selection feature a plastic casing with Active Cooling.
FAQ – Choosing an Ausom L2 and L2 Max charger
Why a 54.6V charger for a 48V battery?
The 48V value refers to the nominal voltage class of the battery. The 54.6V value is its maximum charge voltage in a 13S lithium-ion architecture. The product pages indicate both values to facilitate your choice.
Does the fast charger change the range?
The higher current shortens the charging time. It does not change the battery’s capacity in Ah or its range when fully charged; the latter also depends on how the scooter is used.
Do all batteries in the range require the same time?
No. The capacity and the chosen current determine the estimated duration. Find your model and its capacity in the charging time list, then consult the product page for the desired power.
Can the charger be used as a second unit?
Yes, to keep one charger at home and another at a different location. Simultaneous charging with two chargers requires verification of the ports and the total current accepted by your configuration.
How to verify the plug before purchase?
Compare your scooter’s port to the original red 3-pin Ausom connector visible on the product pages. If in doubt, our support team can verify your model based on photos and battery information.
